Common questions.

GEO is the practice of optimising web content so AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Bing Copilot — are more likely to cite it when users ask related questions. It overlaps with SEO but the ranking signals are different: AI systems weight structured answers, authoritative sources, and quotable passages more heavily than keyword density or backlink volume.

Traditional SEO gets you to the top of a list of blue links. GEO gets your content pulled into the AI-generated answer above the links — or cited as a source alongside it. Most modern audits cover both, because the underlying site health overlaps significantly: clean HTML, strong Core Web Vitals, and decent structured data matter for both.

AEO and GEO are often used interchangeably. AEO has slightly older roots — it originally described optimising for featured snippets and voice assistants — while GEO is the newer term specific to generative AI engines. Our audit covers both under one framework.

Measured AI visibility, where we put real buyer questions to the engines and record who gets cited, runs on six for the audit and the Tracker: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Grok and Claude. The free check asks the first four. Readiness is scored for five platforms: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Web Search, Perplexity, Gemini and Bing Copilot. Bing Copilot has no queryable answer API, so we score your readiness for it but do not claim to measure it.

About 25 minutes. You watch the audit run live — the dashboard shows the current stage (analysing crawlers, schema, citability, rendering report, validating) with an estimated time remaining. As soon as it passes our QA gate, the report appears in your dashboard and a copy lands in your inbox.

The headline is the question table: every buyer-intent question we asked, with a verdict per engine (cited, mentioned, or absent) and the competitors recommended instead, sorted biggest gap first. Behind that sits the diagnosis: six readiness panels (Citability, Brand, Content, Technical, Schema, Platform), per-platform readiness scores, severity-tagged findings, ready-to-paste JSON-LD, an AI crawler access table, and a 30-day action plan. Each section includes a prompt you can paste into Cursor, Claude Code or ChatGPT to implement the fixes. A signed PDF is generated alongside the interactive dashboard report.

Yes. Repeat full audits on the same domain plot on a score trend chart in your dashboard (Overall, AI Visibility and every category), and the visibility probe reuses the same brand and question set each time, so movement you see is real change rather than a different set of questions. The Tracker (£79 a month) re-asks the same questions every month and emails you what moved.

Yes, free, and no card. You confirm your email, we put 10 buyer questions to the four engines once each, and the verdict table lands in your dashboard. The limits are one check per domain every 30 days and a single sample per question, so the score can wobble a few points between runs. The £149 audit asks each question five times for a stable score and adds the diagnosis and the fixes. The check exists so you can see the measurement before you pay for the explanation.

Yes, that is the point. The report lists every question, the verdict from each engine, and which competitors were named in your place. The example report on this page is built from the same table component your report uses, so what you see there is what you get. Questions are generated from what your business does and where it operates, so a local firm is measured on the local questions your customers ask, against competitors at its own scale.

Citeify doesn't guess from on-page signals — it asks the AI engines directly. The audit runs a set of buyer-intent questions from your niche against six engines, then records, for each: whether your site appears in the answer, where you rank, whether your page is cited as the source, and which businesses get recommended instead. The rivals are read from the answers themselves, not from a list we guessed, so you are ranked against the names the engines actually use. Answers vary run to run, so each question is asked five times and the result is reported with its spread rather than as false precision.

Readiness is how well your site is built to be cited by AI — the foundations you control: structure, schema, crawlability, content quality. AI Visibility is how often you actually appear in live AI answers right now, measured across the engines. Readiness is the cause; visibility is the effect. You can have strong foundations and still be invisible if you lack authority — and that gap is exactly where the opportunity is. We show both, plus a blended Overall score.

If the audit fails QA and we can't deliver a usable report, you get a full refund — no questions. For Tracker subscribers, UK Consumer Contracts Regulations give you 14 days to cancel from sign-up; see the refund policy for details.

The check takes a few minutes and costs nothing. The audit takes about 25 and is QA-gated and refund-backed.
